Plans For a New Building

Edge Hill Country School is excited to announce that the school is growing. Over the past five years, Edge Hill’s student population has increased significantly, which has brought many new families to the area. The school was founded 33 years ago and is located 10 minutes northeast of Durham. The school offers an enriched, nature-based learning environment, inspired by Waldorf, for children in Kindergarten to Grade 8. Edge Hill does not receive any public money and is funded solely by student tuition, donations, and fundraising efforts.

An addition to the existing original stone schoolhouse will increase the school’s capacity from 60 to 140 students. The new space will replace two older portables, while the original schoolhouse, which some local residents attended decades ago, will remain intact. The addition will add six new classrooms, an administration office, and storage space. This exciting building project will allow the school to offer its intimate learning environment to more children as well as to contribute to the growth and development of the area

We are currently asking for donations towards building the addition to the school. Edge Hill is a registered charity and is able to issue charitable donation receipts for all donations over $20.
