Edge Hill Country School is a registered Canadian charity (Charitable Registration No. 108080276 RR 0001). No one owns Edge Hill: the school belongs to its community and exists only to serve it. Fully funded by tuition, private donations, and fundraising, every dollar we raise goes back into the education and community programs we offer.
We believe charities earn trust through openness. Our filings — including our finances — are public on the Canada Revenue Agency’s List of Charities: view Edge Hill’s CRA reporting.
Every parent with children at the school is a member of the charity — with a voice and a vote at our Annual General Meeting. The school’s direction is decided by the families it serves.
How the school teaches is driven by our beloved faculty and their hard work. The curriculum, the coursework, and the schedule are shaped by the teachers who know our children best.
The school runs on the hours we all put in together — building, gardening, organizing, and celebrating side by side. We are, above all, community-oriented.
Our school board is made up of volunteer parents. The board provides financial and liability oversight, so the charity stays healthy and accountable year after year.
Our tuition focuses on no-profit, and we offer tuition assistance and bursaries. Community and parent education programs and talks are free of charge, and annual festivals — a traditional European May Fair and a Winterfest — welcome everyone while raising funds for our charitable efforts.
“Love starts when we push aside our ego and make room for someone else.”Rudolf Steiner
Edge Hill Country School relies heavily on the goodwill of the members of our community as volunteers. Edge Hill has many events during the year for which we ask for your help to plan and complete — including our beloved May Fair.
To get involved, email [email protected] and tell us how you would like to volunteer.

Edge Hill Country School has online affiliations with various organizations that allow donors to help while purchasing regular household items.
When you purchase gift cards through Fundscrip, a portion of the sale is donated back to Edge Hill. Edge Hill invitation code: WFGBDS
Mabel’s Labels offer unique labels for your child’s clothing and gear and a portion of the sale will be donated to Edge Hill.
The school accepts donations of class supplies, organic food for the kindergarten class (rice, flour, oatmeal, and fruit), sporting equipment, cleaning supplies, tools, building materials, items for our May Fair Silent Auction, as well as ingredients for the May Fair feast. Please contact us at [email protected] to determine if your items are suitable and, because of limited storage space, to arrange ideal timing for your donations.
A charitable tax receipt will be issued for donations over the amount of $20.00.
Curious how it all fits together? Learn about tuition assistance, or come meet us at the next community festival — everyone is welcome.
